Germany’s biggest beer festival:
This is Germany’s biggest festival for all the beer lovers. People from all over the world attend this festival. This is one of the oldest beer festival that is happening for the 184th time this year.
Prices of beer in this festival:
In this festival, the drinkers face higher beer face prices which goes up to €10.95 euros per litre. The price this year is 25 cents higher than in 2016. More people are being expected this year as last year fewer people turned up because of the frequent terror attacks.
Security has been tightened in the venue and backpacks as well as large bags are strictly banned. Germany is another one of the countries which suffered from terrorist attack last year. It happened in last summer in Munich when an 18-year-old shot nine people dead at a shopping mall before turning the gun on himself.
More than 650 security guards will watch over the entrance section. CCTV cameras have been added everywhere and the loudspeakers will operate in three different languages- German, English and Bavarian.
During the first day of the festival, visitors aim for the first mugs of beer which comes only from Munich breweries such as Augustiner, Paulaner and Spaten. Along with this, another major attraction of this festival is various rides for families and kids such as Wheel of Fortune and Skyfall. The opening day of this festival involves many fun activities such as a colourful parade of carriages, floats and people in variety of costumes.
