Remembering Steve Irwin, the wildlife conservationist.
Steve Irwin was an Australian wildlife conservationist. “The Crocodile Hunter” is another nickname of his. First of all, he was an avid wildlife enthusiast. He also hosted several TV shows on wildlife. The TV series was based on crocodiles, named The Crocodile Hunter. The TV series became popular. As a result, they further hosted other series on crocodiles. However, he died in a stingray attack on his chest. Because he was filming an underwater series, named Ocean’s Deadliest.

He was born in Melbourne, Australia on 22 February 1962. He spent his entire childhood, growing up among animals. His parents owned a wildlife park. Therefore he had a deep bond for the wild. Apart from his popular TV series, he also did other nature shows as well. Although he did not have any scientific training in wildlife studies growing among them gave him enough knowledge. He learned about different animals and birds while spending his childhood in the wildlife park of his parents. As a child, he learned how to handle a crocodile from his father. Even his parents were so deeply attached to the wild, they also gave him a python as his birthday present.

In 1991, Steve first met his wife, Terri, who was an American. She was in Australia on a vacation. After getting attached, they finally married. Later, both Steve and Terri co-hosted the Crocodile Hunter series. After their marriage, they spent their honeymoon filming crocodiles. Their footage became so unique and authentic that it was made into a TV series. The series was first launched in Australia as a local show. Gradually, because of the popularity, the American channel, Animal Planet selected this show.
Furthermore, he also did comedies. Apart from his wildlife shows, he did certain shows that showed the fun and comical side of the animal world. Moreover, the audiences loved his shows because of his dangerous encounters with the wild.
A man of simplicity and total dedication to the wild.
He was a simple man that showed in his personality. He is known for his trademark, khaki shirts, and shorts. Moreover, he was not ashamed to portray his weird, comical side. Often several other shows did parodies of Steve and his gigs. Also, he was extremely brave. He carried the dangerous reptiles like pythons, crocodiles and others like a toy.

Steve Irwin’s popularity led him to feature in the popular American animal movie, Dr. Dolittle 2. He appeared along with actor, Eddie Murphy. Furthermore, he and Terri acted in their own movie, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course.
Finally, he was also caught in endless controversies for his animal shows. Because people felt that he was exploiting the wild. Also, he had a picture with his infant son and a crocodile on the other hand. People were shocked by such a disturbing image.
However, he wanted to teach their children to grow up in the wild like the way he did. Such was his attachment, that his death also made him closer to the wild.
