DIY-Sweet- Heart Hanging Photo Frames

Photo frames may be old-fashioned, and you may have moved to digital frames into the bedroom or just have the pictures in your mobile, desktop etc. but you can’t deny the fact that photo frames are still quite classic. A nice frame and that to made by your hand holding the pictures of our loved ones in it just adds to affection for them.

Today we are going to make a sweet heart hanging photo frame that you can use at any place you feel like and show your love to them. The more love you shower the more your relationship blossoms.

Now, let’s get started with the frame making process. These frames are made from pulped sugar paper, which is moulded into shape then dried to make a surprisingly strong material. You can use coloured paper, as here, or, white paper, ready to paint or decorate.

You will need

Materials

  • A2(16 1/2 * 23 inch) sheet of coloured sugar paper for each heart.
  • Kitchen foil (tin foil)
  • 1 large and 1 small bottle cap for each heart.
  • Paper ribbon
  • All-purpose glue
  • adhesive glue
  • Pictures.

Equipment

  • Heat-resistant bowl
  • Liquidizer(optional)
  • Small heart-shaped cake time
  • Glue brush

Step 1:

For each heart, tear the sugar paper into small pieces and placed in a bowl. Pour on boiling water and leave to cool. Break up the paper with your hands or put in a liquidizer. Drain off the excess water.

Step 2:

Small cake tins make suitable moulds for the pulp hearts. Line each cake tin with kitchen foil(tin foil).

Step 3:

Place a small bottle cap in the centre of the tin mould and pack pulped paper around it. Press out as much water as possible, then continue to pack in more pulp.The centre would be the place where you would be putting your photo.

Step 4:

When the pulp is level with the top of the cap, put a larger cap centrally on top to form the rebate of the frame. Pack more pulp around the cap to the top of the tin, draining off the excess water.

Step 5:

Lift the foil out of the mould and carefully remove. Leave the pulp to dry in a warm place for 2-3 days, or in a warm oven. Remove the bottle caps.

Step 6:

Glue a loop of paper ribbon to the back of each frame for hanging. Tape a picture into the rebate. Now you literally people in your heart made by you, and the best part is they also know that now!!!
