Girls, Here Are Some Fashion Ideas Inspired From
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. have given us many definite goals in life. Oh! NO..No..NO….it’s isn’t about your friends or ours. We’re talking about the Friends we all are in love with. Yes, the very series that first aired in the 90’s.
Well, don’t you agree the 90’s fashion was the most versatile and comfortable? I mean, Who doesn’t love 90’s fashion? Afterall, they are very much back in fashion from flared pants to Bell sleeves, you can see every bit of it all over again. And who wouldn’t want to be able to dress like Rachel Green Or Monica Gellar and how can we forget the awesome Pheobe Buffay. At some point, they all gave us major fashion goals. From hairstyles to clothes. Every ounce of it was tremendously inspiring.
So Girls, here are some fashion ideas from ‘Friends’ that you can (and should) totally pull off today:
Layers on layers on layers.
If there’s one thing you should know about Rachel Green, it’s that she always had her layering game on point. Convenient, comfortable, and chic, layering is the answer to cold theatres and restaurants.
Denim on denim
Vest on the skirt, shirt on jeans – there are so many ways to do denim on denim, and Friends shows you all the right ones.
Tarta – ta – tan (Tartan everything)
From pyjamas to skirts, Friends showed the versatility of plaid. I think it’s time we get those schoolgirl skirts back into our wardrobes, don’t you?
The number of times Rachel got us jealous by looking oh-so-good in her comfy clothes! We can do it too, girls, we can do it too. Don’t be afraid to go beyond the jeans and leggings. Experiment with palazzos, tracks, and even printed floral pants.
The short, well-fitted, printed or buttoned blouses were a staple for the women on Friends which Monica pulled off quite well. They’re casual and smart at the same time, a worthy an addition to any wardrobe.
Why have we forgotten about this wonderful creation? Agreed, a woollen one might suffocate you in the Mumbai or Chennai humidity, but these days they’re available in lighter materials as well.
T-shirt under a dress
So unusual and yet so stylish! All three girls in the show pulled this one off with ease. You should definitely give it a try.
Velvet blouses, velvet dresses, velvet skirts….such a classic material, which gives such a brilliant fit, and yet so underused.
Printed dresses with the large jacket.
The characteristic style of Phoebe, it’ll make sure that you stand out in the crowd!
What Friends teaches most about fashion is that it’s important to be yourself and to be comfortable in your own skin! So don’t be afraid to show who you are.
