Looking for a get charm in your living place? But not in a mood to invest a good amount of the changes. Well, we can save the money and yet make changes that will just serve the purpose.
We have a painted vase Easy Craft Idea that will make your living room not just smell good but brighten it up with the soothing pastel colours. Read out the steps and make one yourself.
- Recycled glass bottles
- Watercolour or Wall Paint,
- Plastic syringe,
- Vase liner & Flowers
Step 1: Gather a variety of empty bottles of different shapes and size. Decide on a colour pallet that you want to go with. Here we are using a pallet of pastel shades which is very much in trend these days.
Step 2: Mix colours to get the desired tone. We used watercolours, but you can also use wall paint if you prefer. Dilute the paint with a little water to flow into the bottle better (the consistency should be slightly on the thicker side), and absorb with a large plastic syringe (easily available at any pharmacy).
Step 3: Pour all the paint in the bottle with the aid of a syringe. Larger bottles need between 80 and 100 ml. paint to cover comfortably.
Step 4: Rotate the bottles in a circular motion so that the paint covers every area.
Step 5: Once covered with the paint, let the bottles sit upside down for several hours so any excess paint can be drained out. You can rest the bottles in a sink or on absorbent paper.
Step 6: After the bottles have drained and dried we clean the excess paint from the edge and let them dry completely (it will take a couple of days).
Step 7: Because we used a water based paint we don’t want to fill the vases with water for the flowers. Add a plastic vase liner to the vases before adding the flowers.
Your Painted Vases are ready to use and you can decorate your dining area or the living area according to your will. You’ll realise that you just did magic when you’ll get complimented for the simple craft. Enjoy!
