Padmavati- the movie:
This is a period movie starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh as the lead actors. It will be released on the 1st of December 2017. Since it is a period film, therefore it shows the life of Rani Padmini and her husband, Rana Rawal Ratan Singh. He was the ruler of Mewar. Almost the entire movie is an adaptation of the epic poem, Padmavat. In addition, Ranveer Singh will be playing the part of Alauddin Khilji. He was the Turkic ruler of the Delhi Sultanate. Seems like he invaded Mewar to capture Rani Padmavati. As a result, the plot will as interesting as the story sounds.
Details of her look:
Deepika Padukone shared her image with a caption in Hindi, “Devi Stapna ke shubh avsar par miliye Rani Padmavati se”. Because her movie is based on Rajputs, she is dressed in a Rajasthani Lehenga Choli (traditional dress). Also, she is wearing the royal look with heavy jewellery. As a result, the odhni (veil) of the outfit is a result of her character in the movie. In addition, her make-up and her unibrow are getting a lot of attention from people. Furthermore, her look as Rani Padmavati is the creation of Rimple and Harpreet. They are the two best designers from Delhi. The main motif of the lehenga had traditional zardozi prints. The designers did a lot of research on her outfit. They studied old textiles and also visited Jaipur and Calico museums.
She is the central protagonist of the story. She is known to be extremely beautiful who defended her honour against a Muslim ruler. Much as her beauty, she also defined bravery and grace.
With her look, Deepika truly justifies the Rani.
