10 Packing Hacks To Help For Your Hostel experience better
Packing Hacks– The new session is starting and it’s time to move to your dorm rooms. Although hostels are all fun with all the independence, they also mean small, cramped places where either you’d fit or your stuff. Even if you make up your mind to shift your load from home to dorm, there is still a bigger challenge- fitting all the things in even more cramped spaces- suitcases!
But don’t worry, here are some hacks to make your task easier-
1. Roll, instead of Fold
This is the biggest travelling hack ever! You can bring as many as suitcases but there still won’t be enough space. This hack helps you to create a lot of space so that you’ll have to carry lesser luggage.
2. Wrap the Dresses In a Roll
Will the rolling will do no harm for t-shirts and trousers, you might get sceptical about this hack for your delicate dresses. Don’t worry, for there is a hack for that, too! Wrap the dress between two sheets or put it in a plastic bag and then roll it to avoid any damage and wrinkles.
3. The Blazer Hack
Speaking of wrinkles, most wrinkle-prone items in your closet are Blazers, Coats and Jackets who are always on the hanger. So how do you pack them without turning them into a mess? Simple, fold your coats inside out!
4. Binder Clips for Razors
Whether you’re a guy or a girl, you need a razor. While packing, you need to put it in such a way so that it won’t cut while unpacking. Solution? Use an oversize binder clip to cover its head.
5. Stuff Your Shoes
Stuff socks and products that won’t leak into your shoes to save up some space.
6. Stuff Your Hats
Or caps. These are essentials not only for swag but to protect you from the sun as you’d probably be roaming in the city. A thing as useful as this should not be crushed or ruined because of your bad packing skills! Stuff some stuff (….ugh) into your cap like a shirt so that it won’t get squished.
7. Protect the Leak
The last thing you’d want is a leaked shampoo bottle ruining all your clothes. Either wrap a plastic on the liquid items’ opening or secure their opening with a tape.
8. Case for the Wires
Things like chargers, cords, cables and earphones can be put in an old sunglass case.
9. Packing Cubes
The mother of all hacks! If you want a compact packing, buy the packing cubes that come in varying sizes. You can store different types of stuff into different bags for an organised packing. These bags are ultralight and save up a lot of your space!
10. Bottom Heavy
The most difficult thing after packing is moving your bags into your room. To make the task a little easier, there’s a hack for it. Put all the heavy things near the wheels so that it will weigh more on their side, making it easier to roll away the bags.
